Description: | Ewenny Quarry. Slickensided Triassic speleothems. Botryoidal accumulations on the walls of the Triassic pipe in A14279 represent calcareous deposits formed by flow of water down the sides of the pipe. These are locally slickensided as a result of subsequent movement along the planes of weakness (joint/mineral vein) which originally determined the position of the pipe. |
