Description: | Crag, 600 yd. SSE of Turnberry House, about 3/4 m. N. of Cumrew Church. Looking S. Basement Conglomerate (? Carboniferous). The conglomerate is made up of well-rounded pebbles, principally of vein quartz but with some quartzites resembling Latterbarrow Sandstone and some rotten igneous rocks. Pebbles fractured subsequent to the formation of the conglomerate can be seen. |
